Welcome to YamuShare. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and mobile app, and the booking of carpool trips on our platform. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with these terms. Please read them carefully.

Use of the Platform

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, book, or host a trip.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate and current information during registration and booking.
• You may not use YamuShare for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.

Bookings and Payments

• By booking a trip you make an offer to purchase a seat, which is confirmed when the host accepts (or instantly for instant-book trips).
• All payments are processed securely through our payment partner PayHere. We do not store your full card details.
• You authorize us to charge the total booking amount, including applicable fees and taxes, to your chosen payment method.
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking due to suspected fraud, safety concerns, or violation of these terms.

Hosts and Vehicles

• Hosts must be verified with a government-issued ID and valid driver's licence before posting trips.
• Hosts are independent operators, not employees of YamuShare, and are responsible for the safety and roadworthiness of their vehicle.
• YamuShare acts as a technology platform connecting hosts and passengers; we do not own or operate any vehicles.

Refunds and Cancellations

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Please review it before making a booking.

Intellectual Property

All content on the YamuShare website and app, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of YamuShare or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without our prior written consent.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YamuShare, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the platform or any trip booked through it. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the conduct of hosts or passengers.

Amendments and Termination

We reserve the right to modify, update, or terminate these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Colombo.
